Is YawnIQ medical advice?
No. YawnIQ is educational support: a calm routine, words to use and slow stories. It isn’t a diagnosis or a treatment, and it can’t promise sleep. If you’re worried about your child’s sleep or health, speak to your GP or health visitor.
Is YawnIQ right for my child?
It’s made for children aged 3 to 11 whose evenings run hot: busy minds, wiggly bodies, worries that arrive at lights out. Everything is built around predictability, low stimulation and the same words every night. It isn’t a treatment for any condition, and every child is different, which is why there’s a 30-day full refund.
Why pay when there are free bedtime stories online?
Most free stories and apps are made to keep children listening. Ours are made to stop: no ads, no autoplay, one story and then quiet. And the stories are the smaller half. The guide is for you: the same 30 minutes every night, the words for the hard bits, and a plan for when it goes sideways. One payment, no subscription, and a 30-day refund if it isn't right.
What age range does YawnIQ cover?
3 to 11, in three bands: The Yawnies (3 to 5), The Lantern Keepers (5 to 8) and Night Academy (8 to 11). The bands overlap at 5 and 8 on purpose: choose by your child, not their birthday. You get all nine stories, so you can switch any night.
How quickly will things change?
We can’t promise a timescale, and we won’t promise sleep. The guide suggests keeping the same routine for two weeks before judging, and looking at the week rather than single nights. Some nights will still be hard; the guide has a plan for those. If nothing has shifted after four to six weeks of a steady routine, talk to your GP.
How do I get it after I buy?
Straight after payment, your private library opens on the next page, and we email you the link. There’s no app and no account: one link opens everything on any phone, tablet or computer. Add it to your Home Screen so it’s there at bedtime. Stream the stories or download them as MP3s; read the guide in your browser or download the PDF. Lost the link?
yawniq.com/library sends a new one in under a minute.
Is the narrator a real person?
No. The stories are read by an AI voice, chosen and tuned for bedtime: slow, low and steady. They’re written with AI help, then chosen and edited by the YawnIQ team. We’d rather tell you than have you wonder.
What will my child hear?
Each story is 16 to 18 minutes in all: a soft 20-second opening tune, about 11 to 13 minutes of one calm AI voice over very quiet music, then about five minutes of music fading to silence, so it ends without a jolt. No sound effects, no cliffhangers, no “The End”. Nothing plays by itself, and the player stops after one story unless you change it.
What if my child is between age bands?
Choose by your child, not their birthday. A five-year-old who loves simple, repetitive stories can stay with the Yawnies; an eight-year-old who finds them too young can move up to Night Academy.
Can I use this with more than one child?
Yes. One purchase covers every child in your household, including a child’s other home if they live across two. For a nursery, school or childminder, please ask us first.
Can I buy it as a gift?
Yes. Enter their email address at checkout and their private library goes straight to them. If you’d like us to send it with a note from you, email
hello@yawniq.com after you buy.
What if it isn’t right for us?
Email
hello@yawniq.com, or reply to any of our emails, within 30 days of buying for a full refund. No forms, no questions. This is on top of your legal rights.
